At Molymet, we believe that a sustainable supply chain is essential to advance our purpose and generate shared value. For this reason, we work closely with our suppliers to promote responsible practices that contribute to the sustainable development of the sector and the communities where we operate.
Our management is based on the OECD Due Diligence principles, incorporating criteria of traceability, risk assessment, respect for human rights, and responsible sourcing. This approach allows us to ensure transparent, demanding relationships aligned with the most relevant international standards.
This commitment is also reflected in the The Molybdenum Mark certification, an international standard that recognizes companies that meet high requirements in governance, environment, labor practices, and human rights within the molybdenum sector. Currently, three of our subsidiaries hold this certification, which reinforces our responsibility to work collaboratively with our suppliers to ensure more sustainable, traceable, and consistent processes with global best practices.
The main raw material in our processes is molybdenum concentrate, managed through two business lines: Own purchases, coming from suppliers associated with copper mining. Reception of materials for toll processing, in which molybdenum is processed and transformed into finished products. To safeguard the integrity of our processes, we carry out complete traceability of raw materials. These materials are acquired directly from manufacturers or collected at the source and transported under strict control standards.
